The Xiegu GSOC Universal Controller & Data Terminal extends the functionality of your G90. Its main CPU is an ARM Cortex A7 and it has 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of eMMC storage. The secondary CPU is a Cortex-M3 which is an I/O controller that handles the GSOC buttons, encoders, etc.
Two built in sound cards, one is 24 bits at 192 ksps and the other is 8 to 32 bits at 8 to 48 ksps. Both are stereo compatible and they enable easy processing of digital modes. encoding in both the I/Q domain and the base audio domain.
A 64-PPR Optical encoder for the main knob has been dustin made by Xiegu using CNC equipment and is made of brass and stainless steel. The heavy duty VFO knob is made of an aluminum alloy with a rotatable finger tip cap. The GSOC ha two coaxial encoders with push buttons that both can be Multi-Function Knobs. In addition to the backlit RIT, Power and ATU quick access buttons the GSOC has three user customisable pushbuttons.
The GSOC uses a Xiegu private communication protocol and is not a CI-V-based controller / panadapter. However, it can be configured as a CI-V controller using a USB-to Serial cable
It has an I/Q input port and an IF input port making it versatile.
